Where Are We With The Employment Rights Bill

15 Oct Where Are We With The Employment Rights Bill

Continuing with our simple summary and tracking of what will be monumental changes in employment law, we have summarised the key changes below together with an expected time-table.

What’s happening with the Bill now?

At the time of writing the Bill has completed its journey through the Lords and it appears now to sit in the Commons and all of the non-government amends have been rejected.

With some additional notable points added too, we’ll be covering this in our update on the Bill in November, please click here to book your place.

For now, here are the key changes with expected dates to help you plan.

Some of these changes are huge, for example the new regulation of zero-hours is extended to agency workers too, the day 1 rights to make claims for unfair dismissal, the extension of liability for third party harassment, these are seismic shifts in employment law, so do book on to our update session and we’ll help you understand the details.
