Lee Stephens heads up the team with the help of his co-Directors, Lee has practiced as a specialist employment Solicitor for almost 20 years now, formerly as a Partner with a leading UK law firm  Lee Stephens advises SME’s to PLCs and he has a wealth of experience in successfully helping businesses with all aspects of employment law from the day to day to complex reorganizations, TUPE, senior executive removals and disputes through to Tribunal too.

Lee Whiting is a Director and Solicitor who has specialized exclusively in employment law for more than 20 years. His focus and approach is to give practical advice and provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to a client’s employment law problems.


Lee Whiting has been ranked as a ‘leader in the field’ for over a decade by legal directories Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 and he has regularly given seminars and training sessions to clients and has been a guest speaker on employment law for organisations such as the CIPD.  Lee has also been asked to comment on employment law matters by local radio and television, the BBC Sunday Politics Show and the Daily Telegraph.

Georgina trained and qualified in a large Yorkshire-based commercial law firm where she worked, for a number of years, in all areas of employment law – both contentious and non-contentious – as well as carrying out risk and compliance work on behalf of The Law Society. Georgina joined Bridge in 2017 where she continues to work across all areas of the practice, acting for individuals and small/medium companies as well as the firm’s larger, commercial clients.  Georgina has a particular interest in discrimination law and Tribunal work. She is also developing her practice in the legal requirements of the education sector – another area in which she has a specific interest.

Emma works as an employment lawyer within the legal team having recently returned from a career break. Emma trained and qualified as a solicitor in a medium sized Firm. She then worked in the City for several years before re-locating to Yorkshire where she continued her legal career. Throughout her career, Emma has advised on a wide range of employment law issues for both claimants and respondents, including representing clients in Tribunals. She also has a wealth of experience in corporate support.  Emma has also undertaken work for the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.

Jane brings extensive HR experience across a wide range of sectors to Bridge clients. After starting her career as a Graduate Trainee in the public sector, Jane has worked in roles including Head of HR for the National Trust, Director of People & Business Services at Guide Dogs and Director of HR at Marlborough College. Since 2013, Jane has been providing businesses in the area  with pragmatic HR support, engaging training and mentoring on business strategy and leadership. Clients value Jane’s approachable style, practical advice and business focus.

Jane’s expertise is recognised professionally as a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the CIPD. She contributes her business knowledge in her voluntary roles as Trustee of a large Multi Academy Trust and as a Member of the Regional LEP Business Board.

Jane also works with our external HR partners, supporting them but always in a way that does not conflict with our valued and trusted external HR Partners interests and clients, Jane works for BRIDGE clients and supports our external HR clients when it is agreed for her to do so, often helping cover their work and supporting them when needed too.

Senior Paralegal & Practice Manager

Claire is an experienced employment lawyer, training legal executive with extensive previous HR experience too.  She has particular experience in discrimination, harassment and whistleblowing tribunal claims and internal disputes in various sectors (including healthcare, veterinary, charitable services sector, and engineering clients).  Claire is a doer and thankfully she also supports the head of the team as Practice Manager, helping develop our growing practice and business too.

Having also been a specialist in HR advice for over 10 years she frequently helps clients with all day to day employment law issues, such as disciplinary and grievances, employee performance management and engagement and all things from recruitment to dismissal too – more recently Claire has been undertaking work defending and bringing claims at the Employment Tribunal.

Her credentials include, Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Andrew heads up all things “Business Development” as our Business Development Manager at Bridge. Andrew has particular experience in GP practices having worked as a Practice Manager.

After leaving University Andrew joined the Royal Navy and trained as a warfare officer serving in multiple roles around the world, from the Mediterranean to the Gulf, West Africa and even Antarctica. Changing career Andrew became the Operations Director of a national healthcare organisation delivering primary care (GP) and secondary care (diagnostics) on behalf of the NHS as well as private patients. Leaving healthcare behind he took over and rescued the local pub in his home village which continues to thrive. Andrew has recently joined Bridge to develop the business and bring their expert advice to more and more people and companies.

Mandy is the Office Manager at Bridge, responsible for the accounts, office equipment and ensuring the smooth running of all things administrative. Having spent several years as an officer in the Royal Air Force Mandy has experience running many different departments, some of which include human resources, military law and accounting in operational theatres overseas as well as on bases here in the UK. Mandy resigned her commission to raise a family but continued to move around the UK with her husband, during which time she worked with a wide range of charities and undertook voluntary roles, prior to joining the team at Bridge.

HR Consultant

Lyn heads up Lync HR an independent HR consultancy that works with our team on various projects.

Lyn is a highly experienced commercial HR Consultant having worked in industry for many years, she has proven commercial HR experience and is relied upon by MD’s FD’s and HRD’s alike across Yorkshire and further afield.

Lyn provides expert independent support to our clients on various internal investigations, meetings and training and development, where experienced independent support is required, we refer Lyn and Lync to our clients.
